Volunteer Christmas Decorating Party
Do you love decorating for Christmas!? Then this event is for you! We're inviting YOU to come join us in the Commons on Sunday, November 24th to help decorate. There will be a light lunch served at 12:30 PM, and the decorating will begin at 1:00 PM. This event is recommended for Middle School and older due to the the equipment and heavy boxes moving throughout the venue.
If you'd like to join in all the fun, please text SERVE to 360-800-4173.
All is Bright 2024
Last year All Is Bright welcomed more than 2,000 people through the doors of our church, many of whom have never been to CTK before. This massive indoor light display is an opportunity for people in our community to encounter Jesus through the hospitality of his people (and that's you)!
It will take more than 140 volunteers to make this year's event happen, so plan now—not only invite your friends and neighbors and attend, but to help put on All is Bright. There are opportunities to help with setup, creating your own light display, offering hospitality during the event, serving cocoa in the cafe, and more. Don't miss your chance to help create this community event that celebrates Jesus, the Light of the World.
To sign up click the form or text Lights to 360-800-4173. If you have questions, email Lori at LoriB@ctk.church
Foster Family Christmas
Are you looking for a way to bless families that take in and take care of kids in need? We are partnering with a great organization called Foster Hearts to host a Christmas party for foster families this December. Foster Hearts has a passion to provide underprivileged kids with the support they need in order to have a happy childhood and bright future.
If you’d like to join us in serving these families this year, there are two ways to help: Donate items to create a gift basket for each family and we’re also looking for people to serve dinner to these families and lead crafts and games that evening. Donate gift cards and gift basket items now through November 24.

CTK Pre Easter Clean Up
In preparation for Easter our facilities team and volunteers typically do a general building cleanup day. (This includes jobs like carpet cleaning, vacuuming, trash pick up, wall cleaning, etc.) However, this season has been a bit harder on CTK staff. Many of you may not know that our Facilities Director, Kevin is married to Pastor Angel. And our sweet sister Angel has recently been diagnosed with cancer. To help shoulder the weight of this we'd love for our CTK Response Team volunteers to help bridge the gap for the pre Easter CTK Cleanup. Interested in volunteering? Please sign up below. Any questions please reach out to JordynMae, CTK Operations Coordinator. Thanks so much for stepping forward to fill this gap, friends! We are grateful for you!
This project is now full. No additional volunteers needed. Thank you!
Road2Home Gardenview Village Service Project

The CTK Response Team will be helping at their Gardenview Village location with a number of maintenance tasks. We are looking one volunteer with electrical experience (not contractor level but comfortable with general wiring and troubleshooting). We’d also love to have a team of 6 volunteers for general tasks that do not require any special skills; some cleaning, changing light bulbs, etc. Use the link below to sign up!
This project has been postponed! Stay tuned for more volunteer opportunities to come! Thanks!
All is Bright Volunteering

Mark your calendar and plan to experience this event with the people in your life. Even better, help make this event possible! We can’t do it without volunteers like you.
Whether you want to decorate, create one of our themed 15 X 15 displays, or help host the event, there is a role for you. To learn more contact MissyE@ctk.church.
Winter Warm Up Blue Skies for Children
Thanks for your interest in serving with us! We have the opportunity to come alongside Blue Skies for Children to help families with basic essentials. We will be setting up a "store" and helping these families shop for things they need for the winter season. God cares deeply for these families and therefore we are asking the church to be present and care for those that He cares for! Please take a look at the days and times by clicking the button below and choose one or more that you are able to serve. Please also let us know if you have any physical restrictions or special needs.

Boys and Girls Club Ferndale Repairs and Yard Work

We'd like to tackles outside yardwork, indoor painting, pressure washing, some tear-out of old garden boxes, and maybe some fall planting! All skills, abilities, and ages are welcome! World Relief Home 2 Home Walk-Thru Experience Set Up
This September CTK is hosting World Relief’s ‘From Home to Home,’ an experiential exhibit to build understanding around forced displacement and refugee resettlement. This exhibit develops our understanding around the challenges and decisions refugees and asylees face. Home to Home simulates these decision points and common difficulties in their walk through exhibit. As the host of this event we’ll need help setting up pipe and drape, as well as unloading and arranging different stations. Pizza lunch included! Ages 10 and up with a parent.
Lydia Place Backyard Build
This will be CTK's fourth response team to continue development of the backyard at Lydia Place's original home for families experiencing homelessness. Last year they added an 11-unit apartment building to the property and want to upgrade the space to accommodate more kids! We will be finishing a gazebo for shade near their community garden and adding 4 park benches. Whether you have experience or not, we could use your help. Ages 14 and up please-no exceptions.
Cascade Connections Adult Group Home Painting and Yard Work
We've asked Cascade Connections for a honey-do list for both of their group homes for adults with disabilities in Lynden. There is something for everybody on this project , indoor painting, yard work with pruning, trimming and weed-eating, some flooring replacement and even a little cabinet repair. All skill levels, abilities, and ages are welcome. Bring you own yard tools and painting tools if you have your favorites. This is a great chance to serve as a family and meet other CTK'ers!
Whatcom Strong Painting Project for Flood Victim
We had a great experience partnering with Whatcom Strong back in June so we're back out to help another family with painting their home in July. Whatcom Strong provides coordination and recovery services to individuals, families and entities adversely impacted by disaster in Whatcom County. Whether you have painting experience or not, we could use your help. Ages 12 and older with a parent, please.
Lighthouse Mission Project at New Facility Building
One of our biggest projects this season is for the Lighthouse Mission so bring a friend, co-worker, family member to help! Their facilities team is stretched pretty thin with the build of their new facility so the grounds-keeping maintenance at the other four Holly Street locations is hard to keep up with. We've committed to significantly cutting back weeds, vines, and junk in their lot at F and Astor, the adjacent building, and fresh bark around the Agape home for women and children. This is a classic case of many hands make light work so we need 25 CTK'ers to see how much of a dumpster we can fill to get this neighborhood looking great for guests and neighbors alike! (Ages 14 and up-please register each person coming so we have lunch for everybody!)
Whatcom County Pregnancy Clinic Flooring Installation (Day 2)

Our trade specialists can show you how it's done and we need folks to paint the new base boards. Ages 18 and older please.

The Bridge Clean Up Project
The Bridge Community Hope Center, among many other ministries, runs a Food Bank out in Birch Bay that has flooded two years in a row forcing them to move to another location. If you're available on Sunday, May 21 to serve alongside our North Bay CTK please click the button below to sign up!
