Who is Be the One?
This innovative one-on-one mentoring program began in Lynden and established a Ferndale program in 2018. They now offering mentoring in Ferndale High, Lynden Middle, Lynden High and Nooksack Valley High.
CTK Ferndale has taken the lead on this partnership and will spearhead our support of their great work. If you live out in the Ferndale area, we encourage you to get to know this small nonprofit making an incredible impact!
Want to make a real difference in a Whatcom County teen’s life?
Become a mentor! Our school-based program prioritizes lasting relationships, carefully matching mentors and students with shared interests. Meet weekly on campus for one hour during the school day. It's simple, fun, and incredibly rewarding. We'll provide the training and support you need. Join us for a 2-hour orientation and see if mentoring is a good fit for you!

I made quite a few shall we say questionable choices in my youth. Jesus found it fit that He loves me unconditionally even with my bonehead choices. I feel that because of His grace, I can sit and listen to a young man's stories and be able to just let him speak his thoughts without any judgement.
