Lighthouse Mission - Agape-Christmas Gifts for Homeless Families
Who are we serving?
Women and children who are transitioning out of homelessness. Up to 60 women and kids live at Agape Home (part of Lighthouse Mission Ministries) for 18-24 months where they receive case management, attend faith-based life skills classes, contribute to the community, and work on goals.
Who is helping connect us to their needs?
Lighthouse Mission Ministries seeks to heal homelessness through Christ’s power and love. CTK has been an amazing partner in this endeavor.
The holidays are a hard time of year for our families. At Agape, we try to create a warm, cheerful environment. And you can add to the festivity through gift giving!
How are we serving?
Pick out Christmas gifts for these precious women and children (value: $25-50 each item).
Each woman and child will receive 2 or 3 gifts, such as: a winter coat, a toy, a $25 gift card, or a book. Your group can choose how many gifts to commit to!
Most gift tags will include a prayer request and we’d love for your group to pray for them.
Who do you contact?
If your group is ready to bless a woman or family at Agape Home this Christmas season, please contact Rachel Tinnell (firstname.lastname@example.org or (360) 733-5120 ext. 104) to let her know you’ll be participating and how many gifts you can commit to.
11/19 - Gift tags with description of item will be ready for pick up.
Purchase and wrap gifts, attach tags.
12/19 – Gifts must be returned to Agape Home by this date – contact Rachel to set up a time.
Thank you for wanting to help!
If you need help in the process, Wendy at CTK is available (email@example.com or 360-733-1337 ext 212) Please share your project with us by using the hashtag #CTKserves on social media!
At CTK, we value authenticity, simplicity, empowerment, relationship, and caring about the community we live in. One key way we serve is by empowering small groups to make a difference through our local partners who address important issues for those in the hardest life circumstances. The opportunity above is a chance to tangibly demonstrate God's care, compassion, and love for those around us. As your church, we hope this makes it easy for you to put the Great Commandment to love your neighbor as yourself into action
