Fostering Together - Family Christmas Party
Who are we serving?
Foster and adoptive families in Western Washington
Who is helping connect us to their needs?
Developed in partnership between the state of Washington and Olive Crest – a national leader in transforming the lives of at-risk children since 1973 – Fostering Together aims to ensure safe, loving foster families are available to meet the diverse needs of abused and neglected youth. At Fostering Together, we strive to increase the number of foster families across Western Washington, help families with the licensing process, and provide ongoing support to ensure their success. They also provide free, ongoing support in a variety of ways to families caring for foster children.
How are we serving?
Could your group help host a Christmas Party for foster families in Whatcom County on Friday, December 7th from 5:30 – 7:30? One of the things kids in care need are happy moments and positive memories in the midst of a season that can be full of sadness, missing their families. You can help create one of these special moments for foster children and their families. Choose between helping serve dinner (5:00- 7:00), hosting a craft table (5:30 – 8:00), or helping with set-up (2pm – 5pm) or tear down (7:30 – 9:00). Every part works together to make this an incredible night of Christmas Magic. If you can’t make it to help at the party on the 7th but still want to participate, you could consider putting together a giveaway basket to be raffled off for the families. We are in need of fun family activity themed baskets! The party will take place at CTK Bellingham.

At CTK, we value authenticity, simplicity, empowerment, relationship, and caring about the community we live in. One key way we serve is by empowering small groups to make a difference through our local partners who address important issues for those in the hardest life circumstances. The opportunity below is a chance to tangibly demonstrate God's care, compassion, and love for those around us. As your church, we hope this makes it easy for you to put the Great Commandment to love your neighbor as yourself into action
