If you are new to CTK or aren't yet involved, experience the joy of serving by joining one of our next service projects.
Every year we host the staff of one of our community partners and their families for a BBQ. This is a chance to show our appreciation for the valuable work they do in our community. It gives them time to play together, relax a bit, and build into their relationships with each other. This summer we will be hosting the staff and families from Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services (DVSAS) on Friday, August 2. If you are available during the day and would like to help us host, email Wendy.
Our last project was with Cascade Connections, a nonprofit devoted to serving adults with disabilities in a way that enhances their quality of life. This includes home care, residential programs, training, and vocational services. Once a year, they gather all of their staff, caregivers, clients and their families to celebrate community and enjoy a meal. CTK put together a team to serve at this barbecue in Pioneer Park in Ferndale on Saturday, June 29.
It was a great success! There was lots of fun, food and fellowship with CTK volunteers and Cascade Connections staff and clients. Check out pics of the event below.
